War helps technology
 Connie Shane

Actually, war tends to speed up technology as governments seek to weaponize any object or element
they can find. The U.S. nabbed Nazi scientists because they were on to some dangerous technology already. Remember, our first computer was createdto decode Nazi secret codes. Some of the 1950's household inventions came from re-designed war technology.

Genetics

 Connie Shane
Within two days of each other, two scientists and their research teams published exensive analyses of the genetic origins of the Jewish people and theirNear East ancestry. "The closest genetic neighbors to most Jewish groups were the Palestinians, Israeli Bedouins, and Druze, in addition to the Southern Europeans, including Cypriots," Ostrer and Skorecki wrote in a review of their findings that they co-authored in the journal Human Genetics in October 2012..

What's Going on Here?
Billy Rojas
Hopefully you are familiar with the book Flatland. Everyone should read it. I mean everyone. If you have not done so you are less than well educated. The plot is simplicity itself. It involves "people" who live in a 2-dimensional world, hence a flat land. That is, their universe has just two dimensions, length and width, but no height.
Now suppose that a 3-dimensional being decided to try and communicate with the Flatlanders, what would that be like? Well, the 3-dimensional being might start by making things fairly simple. He (could be "she") might set out to pass a cone through the flat land. A Flatland "person" would see, a dot, then a short line, then a longer line, then a line of considerable length, then, poof!, nothing. The 3 dimensional being might then wait a while as the smartest Flatlanders pondered this strange phenomenon, giving them time to figure things out. Then another object might be passed through the flat land, say a CD in a plastic case, Again, the 3-D being would give the geniuses among Flatlanders time to ponder yet another weird phenomenon. And so forth. Finally, to make things really interesting, the 3-D being passes a motorcycle through the plane of the flat land. This is what is going on. Except that in our case it is a 4th dimension communicating with the 3rd dimension. We perceive a very real phenomenon as something bizarre, like a science fiction story that simply cannot possibly be true. We perceive coincidences and, because of our Newtonian biases, we trivialize these phenomena, which are real phenomena -so that we do not need to take them seriously. So that we can maintain our traditional perspective on the world -as if science had never progressed beyond what it was in the 18th century. And, of course, we do so in order to protect our egos, so that we have no need to admit that someone else just may know a helluva lot more than you do. Call it the Copernicus effect. The Sun cannot possibly be the center of what we now know as the solar system. And all of our wise men agree that such a view of things is out of the question. And they have the highest authorities of all authorities to substantiate their views, the Bible ( as understood back then) and the Vatican. Who is this Copernicus to say something else? He must be delusional. Is this easy enough to understand? Of course it is. But your ego simply will not allow you to admit any such thing, you tell yourself that you have too much to lose if you go out on a limb. You might look ridiculous. About which all I can say is that Galileo understood Copernicus' new outlook as a great opportunity. You understand the equivalent as an impediment. Yet Galileo was able to take matters even further than Copernicus was able to take them. Thus, today, we all assume -with undeserved false pride- that we are all as smart as Copernicus when, actually, most people today (in excess of 99%) are just like the "wise men" who denied that Copernicus was right, who refused to even consider his evidence and, at most, explained in all away as if none of that evidence had any substantial meaning. So, go ahead and deny the obvious all you want to. Are you so sure that major discoveries about the future can only be conceived by someone directly related to the hard sciences? Are you really sure? Who was the most far-sighted of all futurists of all time? A non-scientist named Jules Verne, a literary figure. And someone who, by standards of his time, was a conservative religious believer. Do you really think that the Left has all the answers? With little or no case to make on behalf of the Right, which I mostly regard with contempt, my view is that, as things have become in 2019, the Left is wrong about nearly everything that matters and is hopelessly evil. So, go ahead and demonstrate that you are an ostrich if you are so certain that you are right and I cannot possibly know what I am talking about. Go ahead. If you do so, however, I won't know you when the time comes, whenever that may be, next month, next year, which I can't possibly know, and freely admit. But about the Flatland hypothesis and the Copernicus effect, I know with complete certainty that I am far more right than otherwise even if, for sure, there is a great deal about which I am in the dark -maybe as much as many other people. Its just that "in the land of the blind the one-eyed man" ........ You know how rest of the quotation goes.

Arming our teachers
          Mark Bailey

Yes, I have no issue with a select number of teachers being armed on campus. The exact policies would vary, but as a father of two children I do not now nor would I have ever had a problem with a few of the teachers/staff being armed.     In 1990, at the height of the Invasion of Kuwait by the Iraqi's (yes, they invaded Kuwait.... not us...) I was an Army Recruiter right here in Scottsdale AZ.

In September of that year a US Navy female Recruiter was held at knife point in San Diego and an Army Recruiter in Los Angeles found a pipe bomb in his Recruiting office.

We were instructed to be 'ever vigilant' about our surroundings, and all of a sudden all of us felt like we had bullseyes on our backs wherever we went.

I was the Army Recruiter for Saguaro High School, and was the only Military presence in uniform allowed on Campus since its doors opened (separate story here... but Saguaro H.S. has a policy of no military on campus allowed until I low crawled into the center where the flagpole was on a dare from a student).

My wife was very concerned for my life and we bought a Glock 17 9mm and three 17-rd magazines. I kept the Glock in my briefcase for self protection as I went on all of my appointments.

In October, right before the liberation of Kuwait... I was in the office with all of my other Recruiters when we heard a gunshot next door. (All of the Recruiters were in side-by-side offices).

Every single one of the Recruiters drew pistols our of their briefcases and purses... including "Sergeant Mom" who drew a Ruger .44 Blackhawk revolver out of he oversized purse.

We formed a 7-person "stack", and cleared the three Recruiting Offices... and as we cleared the Marine Corps office "Gunney" joined in as we cleared the Navy Office.

To be clear, just because we are "All Military" does not mean they are "Gun Slingers"... we had two Infantry (Me and Gunney), one Artillery, one Armor, one Aviation Mechanic, One Medic, and one Logistician... so we had only two people trained to actually "clear rooms with loaded weapons"

So, using this example, any teacher should be properly vetted by Law Enforcement Officers in the same fashion for them to conceal carry in a classroom.... we don't need everyone whipping out a pistol, but it would have been nice to have seen one teacher in Florida able to defend everyone in that school

A Cause for Love
          Avery Goodman

A couple years ago I was on a bus sitting across from a young gentleman who would probably be profiled as a thug. I looked at him and thought "if he had been loved just a little bit more he might be better off than he is right now" then I looked a couple seats behind him was a woman who looked unhappy, and I thought the same thing "if she had been loved just a little bit more she might be better off than she is right now" then I realized that is true of everyone. We would all be better off if we were loved just a little bit more. So, I looked around and started loving everyone.

Science Looks at Out-of-Body Events
          Dr. Connie Shane
As you read this interesting article, keep two points in mind: 1) the researchers eliminated the possibility of anything astral or spiritual, 2) just because OBE-like event can be created scientifically, does not preclude a real OBE occuring naturally with a spiritual cause. In other words, just because someone can conterfeit a $20 bill, doesn't mean that all $20 bills are fake.  With those thoughts the following article may be of interest and value: click here

Ayurvedic Health
          Gabriel Cousens, MD
The science of Ayurveda is particularly useful in helping us maintain our awareness of nutrition as the interaction between the forces of food, our own dynamic forces, the seasons, our life cycle, and spiritual life. According to Ayurveda, the five-basic elements of creation—air, water, fire, earth, and ether—manifest in the human psycho-somatic complex as three dosha essences: vata (air and ether), kapha (water and earth), and pitta (fire). The insights from Ayurveda, however, go far deeper than this.
Ojas is defined as the subtle energy of water of and earth. It is the stored-up energetic life force of the body, or primal vigor. It involves the integrity and stored energy of protein, fat, and reproductive fluids, as well as the healthy gross tissue mass. That includes nut and seed milks, nuts and seeds, juicy and oily vegetables such as avocado, low-glycemic fruits, especially berries such as goji berries, and other foods with a slight sweetness in taste, like apples, carrots, coconuts, and sprouted grain. Goji berries and bee pollen are not only high in anti-oxidants, but they are tremendously rejuvenating. More oily, creamy, soupy types of food, such as smoothies, are also good for building ojas .Increasing the intake of omega-3 fatty acids builds oja (to see more visit http://treeoflifecenterus.com/gabriel-cousens-m-d/blog/

Karmic Self-punishment

       Dick Sutphen

Self-inflicted karmic problems are subconsciously administered as a teaching tool until you can forgive yourself. But you won't forgive yourself until you know on every level of your body and mind that you've learned the lesson you desire to learn and will never make the same mistake again. You can learn through love and wisdom, but you learn fastest by directly experiencing the consequences of your actions. Thus, you do most of your learning through pain. You painfully learn that stress, improper diet and lack of exercise causes health problems. But if the undesirable condition isn't too advanced, having the wisdom to change your lifestyle can reverse the situation. You painfully learn that manipulating other people to get what you want results in relationship problems. But through learning what doesn't work, you learn how to master relationships. Past-life fears predestine limited success in your career. But through metaphysical explorations you might find the cause of your programming and release the fears so you can pursue success. Your problems are the karmic lessons you need to learn. Some were predestined, and some are the result of how you've lived your life. Meditate upon the wisdom of erasing karma.

Wants to join cult going off-world

          Phinehas P Williams

Do you or know of someone that truly knows of any special cult that would help its members to get off of this planet Earth literally physically to other planets of their individual choices? regardless of reason why they want to leave Earth. Each member of it want to go to whatever other planet like world (s) of his/her individual choice where he or she wants to go to make it/them his or her new home. In other words, the cult leader(s) of it whereas he/she/them [ cult leader(s) ] truly honestly have already well established rapport with some mother ship of very friendly, caring and very highly technologically and spiritually advanced ET's that would very much gladly take people as members of that special cult that are sick and tired of living on this planet Earth and want to get off of it for good regardless of reason of wanting to leave Earth and want to go to whatever other planet like world(s) out there elsewhere that each individual he or she wants it/them his/her to be his or her new home. This means that whatever other planet(s) out there that he/she would want to go to absolutely must fully be allowed to live there at all times fully having the kind of life style of his/her choosing according to the way of his or her really down dreams about having -- like an absolute perfect ( at least near perfect ) Utopia that would be very much highly compatible to his or her own personality profile makeup -- environmentally, physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. I would appreciate a speedy reply from you as soon as possible.

Here is why. Right now I maybe at the crucial point in my life whereas I may have to get off of Earth in order to keep my what-I-have-left personal freedom of how I want to live my life from being taken away from me possibly for good by someone that who don't fully agree with me that I should continue to keep it. In other words, in the worse case scenario I might wind up being placed against my will into some very highly secure and supervised group home setting place whereas my life would be very restricted of what I can do and mostly what I can't ( be allowed ) do. The place would also have tight 24/7 monitoring everywhere in it. Furthermore, I would be stuck in it for the rest of my life with no chance of ever getting out of it.

Religious Faith and Satan

     Billy Rojas

This is a good time for a statement of faith; it is my view of spirituality not someone else's. If anyone disagrees, and unquestionably others will take exception to any number of things, that is their choice to make. All that I want to do here is "put my cards on the table," so to speak, so that, if it matters, there will be no question about my actual views. My theology matches no currently well known religious creed or doctrines. Curious? (see The Problem of Evil)

The Fastest Growing Religion is 'None'

     Jean Hopfensperger

They included a former Lutheran who left the church because the Bible clashed with science, a former Catholic turned off by the concept of hell, a former Baptist uninspired by Sunday services, and a young man raised with no religion.

Together, they represent the biggest force behind the rising number of shuttered churches and empty pews across Minnesota and the United States. Nearly one in four Americans now declare themselves unaffiliated with any organized religion. The share of adults who identify as “none” has more than doubled since the 1990s — to 56 million and climbing. That’s now more than the membership of all mainline Protestants combined.

The church experience central to many of their parents’ lives never took root or has faded from their own.

“I can’t imagine that only one religion has access to the pearly gates,” said former Catholic Lisa Poole, 44, after the yoga class ended. “I realized there are all kinds of different paths to being a good person.”

The surge in these so-called “Nones” has Minnesota religious leaders wrestling with the implications for the future of their churches, and the future of Christianity. More than half of U.S. churches now see fewer than 100 worshipers on weekends, and they’re getting older, according to the Hartford Institute for Religion Research, which has documented trends in religious life for three decades.

More striking is the plunge in church membership by people in their 20s and 30s. One in three are now churchless, according to the Pew Research Center. Most faith leaders are struggling to reach a generation increasingly unlikely to step under a steeple.

“We are [all] worried,” said the Rev. John Bauer, pastor at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis. “We all know it’s an issue, but don’t know what to do about it. It’s clear we can’t rely on the old ways of doing things for this next generation.”

Kay Christianson, 69, spent six years living in a Catholic convent as a high schooler and young adult in the 1970s. She was preparing to take her vows as a sister, and was already donning the black robe.

But over time, she developed “so many questions.” When her parents died suddenly, her faith shattered. She’s now among the 30 million Catholics who have left the U.S. church over the past 40 years, the largest exodus of any denomination, according to Catholic researchers at Georgetown University.

“They say pray and your prayers will be answered,” said Christianson, a retired corporate manager. “That didn’t happen. I was angry.”

Feeling thankful

     Avery Goodman

There is an old Peanuts comic strip where Linus begs Lucy to read him a story. She really doesn't want to but reluctantly gives in. She grabs a book and pretends to read "There was a man. He was born. He lived. He died. The end." and she goes away. Linus innocently muses "Kinda makes you wish you got to know him better." Friends, we are all in this together, please take the time to get to know each other and acknowledge those in your life. I am truly thankful and grateful for all of you each and every day.

Foolproof way to protect elections

     Representative Devin Nunes

Electronic voting systems are really dangerous.

The one thing we’ve been warning about for many, many years on the intelligence committee is about the electronic voting systems.

Those are really dangerous in my opinion, and should not be used. In California … at least in the counties that I represent, they do not use an electronic system. Electronic voting systems can be susceptible to hackers, so a paper trail is needed in case of a recount.

This plan certainly won’t sit well with the Democrats, who have spent countless hours and resources attempting to convince the youth of America that voter fraud doesn’t exist.

This wholly false statement is protecting the Democrat use of voter fraud in nearly every election since the 1960s.

2016 was a particularly foul case, given that there may have been literally millions of illegitimate votes cast for the Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton, some from non-citizens, and some from beyond the grave.

Trump's tax plan

         Mark Bailey

If you have a problem with the Trump/ GOP Tax plan that has cut the corporate rate from 35% to 23% this year, consider this before you 'go off on the current Administration'.

In March of 2016, then-President Obama put forward the idea that a 19% corporate tax rate because he stated "...that it might induce US businesses to come back to America". This was a reduction from the 35% corporate tax rate at the time. It failed for a lot of reasons, and I cannot figure out why.

So the current GOP Tax Cuts are actually not as much of a "cut" as Obama had asked for.... so you can throw out the "Rich feeding the Rich" idea right now...

It is estimated that in 2016 alone, $695 BILLION dollars of US Taxes were stashed away outside of the US by US corpor-ations that did not intend to pay those taxes into the US system. This is the capitol that the current Administration knows will eventually come back into the system, even if we only see a portion of it return would make a HUGE difference to each and every one of us in so many ways it cannot be over stated. This is why the current Bill allows for a reduction in the past penalties to be waived, because if we dont waive that penalty we will NEVER see this come back into the system... at least we will get some of what was owed, and I think 35% is stupid to begin with since it is the highest corporate tax rate in the WORLD.

As of 2017, $2.3 TRILLION in US taxes remained outside of the US with very little hope that we will see them in our system. Now we are already seeing US Corporations "return to the fold".

The 35% tax rate is why (as an example) Burger King bought Tim Hortons and moved their HQ out of the US. In 2014 alone, it was estimated that over 40% of Big Pharma and an equal share of Tech companies were using the legal system to keep funds outside of the US, away from the Tax system.

THIS is why the GOP Tax reform bill was so important, and THIS is why Microsoft, Apple, Seagate and several other large US Corporations are either returning to the US tax base or at least considering it.

Do not let Maxine Waters or Nancy Pelosi trick you into thinking that the Tax Reform is a bad thing... They are both rich beyond our wildest dreams and out of touch with what we deal with on a day-to-day basis (Waters does not even live in her district, and Pelosi has used a 737 several times to bring her family and entourage back and forth to Washington D.C.).
